Are you an expert in gardens, food and drink, hotels and B&Bs or outdoor adventure tourism? Would you be interested in helping a small team of fellow-experts in an interesting commercial opportunity?
I’m putting together a project related to my current interests in inbound overseas tourism to the UK. I’m doing some work with Visit Britain at the moment.I’m looking to assemble a small team of people able and willing to commit to some consultancy work with a mix of areas of expertise complementary to mine. The areas of expertise that I believe need to be in the package are partially regional and local knowledge reflecting the main countryside destinations and partly topic-based expertise, specifically:
Good working knowledge of the tourism industry in some or all of the following geographic areas (Cornwall (and the West Country), The Cotswolds, Warwickshire, The Peak District (although I know this well) Yorkshire, Lake District, Pembrokeshire and/or Snowdonia (or Wales as a whole), and the Scottish Highlands.
A recognised expertise in one of the 4 additional areas required for the team ie A) gardens, horticulture, garden history and garden tourism, B) outdoor sports and activities, adventure and family countryside activities, C) luxury and distinctive countryside accommodation and D) food and drink, regional specialities, restaurant and pub trade etc
